How to Ship A Whale – Custom Crating with Pack N Send!

We recently had an unusual request for custom crating – one of our commercial clients needed a large, odd shaped item to be packaged for shipping cross country – a 10 foot whale!

Needless to say, this was something unusual. The Whale was a theater prop that would be used by the Church at the site delivery point – and it was critical that it arrive completely intact, and on time.  Pack N Send was up to the challenge with our custom crating and packaging.

Our standard industrial packing product consists of a substantial forklift-able platform with weight equal to the equipment or machine we are crating.

Pack n Send crates are custom made to ensure an exact fit. Proper padding is used to further protect your items. Many items such as lamps, paintings, and sculptures may not require a crate and can be boxed and shipped. We work closely with our customers to determine the safest and most economical way to ship items safely and efficiently.

Packing charges vary depending on the size and number of items. For fragile items, Pack n Send can use a combination of bubble wrap, peanuts, Styrofoam, and double boxing, or build a custom crate.
